Every wedding in Weddinguru has a status that reflects where it is in your booking pipeline. Understanding these statuses helps you manage your workload and keep your pipeline clean.
The six statuses
- Enquiry
- The couple has made initial contact but no commitment has been made. Use this for new leads who have not yet confirmed they want to proceed. This is the default status for all newly created weddings.
- Planning
- The couple is actively working with you to plan their wedding. They may have paid a deposit or signed a contract but the full booking is not yet formally confirmed. Use this status once planning work has begun in earnest.
- Confirmed
- The booking is formally confirmed — date, guest numbers and key details are locked in. At this stage you typically have a signed contract and a confirmed deposit. You may also use the Date Confirmed and Guests Confirmed flags (on the wedding edit page) alongside this status for finer-grained tracking.
- Completed
- The event has taken place. Move weddings to Completed after the wedding day. Completed weddings remain fully accessible for billing, receipts and records, but are filtered out of the active pipeline view by default.
- Cancelled
- The booking has been cancelled by either party. Cancelled weddings are hidden from active pipeline views but remain in the system for audit and billing purposes (e.g. to record a cancellation fee).
- Archived
- The wedding is hidden from all standard views. Use Archived for very old bookings or records you want to keep but no longer need to see day-to-day. Archived weddings can still be found via search.
Changing a wedding's status
Open the wedding record and either use the status dropdown at the top of the page or click Edit Wedding and change the status field there. Save the record to apply the change.
There are no enforced transitions — you can move a wedding to any status at any time. However, for clean reporting we recommend following the pipeline order: Enquiry → Planning → Confirmed → Completed.
Filtering by status
From the main Weddings list, use the status filter tabs at the top to show only weddings in a specific status. The default view shows all active weddings (Enquiry, Planning and Confirmed). Completed, Cancelled and Archived weddings are accessible via their respective filter tabs.
