Tasks keep your team on track. Every action item — from chasing a contract to finalising a menu — can be captured, assigned and tracked in one place.
Creating a task
Tasks can be created in two ways:
- From Tasks → Add Task in the main navigation
- From within a wedding record via the Tasks tab → Add Task
When creating from within a wedding, the task is automatically linked to that wedding.
Priorities
Each task has a priority level that determines urgency:
- Low — no immediate deadline; get to it when you can
- Medium — should be completed within a reasonable timeframe
- High — important and time-sensitive
- Urgent — needs immediate attention; highlighted prominently in task lists
Labels
Labels categorise tasks by type, making it easier to filter and group:
- Planning — general wedding planning activities
- Logistics — operational and logistical items
- Creative — décor, design and creative decisions
- Admin — paperwork, contracts, correspondence
- Communication — things involving contacting the couple or suppliers
- Finance — billing, payment chasing, quote preparation
- Setup — physical set-up and on-the-day preparation
Task status
- Pending — not yet started
- In Progress — actively being worked on
- Done — completed
- Cancelled — no longer needed
Assigning tasks
Tasks can be assigned to one or more team members. Assignees receive the task in their personal task list. Multiple assignees are useful for tasks that require input from several people, such as a tasting that needs both the events coordinator and the head chef to be present.
Linking to a wedding or module
A task can optionally be linked to:
- A specific wedding — the task appears in the Tasks tab on that wedding
- A specific module instance — the task is associated with e.g. the Food & Catering module on a particular wedding
Linking keeps tasks in context so your team can see all outstanding actions for a wedding in one place.
Task comments
Team members can leave comments on any task. Comments are useful for updates, progress notes or flagging blockers. All comments are timestamped and stored permanently on the task.
