The Music module lets you record all music choices for the wedding day — ceremony tracks, first dance, reception playlists, and more. It supports external playlist links from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and other platforms. No billing items are generated by this module.
Overview
Add the Music module from the Modules section on the wedding record. Once added, a music plan is created as the top-level container. You then add categories for each musical moment in the day, and individual song choices within each category.
Music plan
The music plan has a title (defaulting to "Music Plan"), general notes, and fields for the DJ or band name and contact details. This is the container that holds all the day's music categories.
Categories
A category represents a musical moment in the wedding day. Category types include:
- Ceremony — Prelude, Processional, Hymns / Songs, Signing of the Register, Recessional
- Drinks Reception
- Wedding Breakfast
- Speeches
- First Dance
- Father & Daughter Dance
- Mother & Son Dance
- Cake Cutting
- Evening Reception
- Last Dance
- Other
Each category can have a description, a playlist URL (e.g. from Spotify), and a portal visibility toggle. Categories can be reordered by drag and drop.
Song choices
Within each category you can add individual song choices. Each choice has a title, artist, optional notes, and can be linked to a streaming platform. You can record songs to avoid as well as preferred songs.
Playlists
Each category supports a playlist URL. Supported platforms are: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Tidal, Amazon Music, Deezer, and Other. The platform is auto-detected from the URL and displayed with the correct icon and colour in Weddinguru and in the portal.
DJ / Band details
The music plan includes a DJ or band name field and a contact field. These are planning references for your team. If the DJ or band is a formal supplier, consider also adding them to the Suppliers module.
Portal visibility
When the Music module is enabled for portal visibility, the couple can see the music plan including categories and song choices. Each category has its own portal visibility toggle — you can share some parts of the music plan and hide others. Playlist links are shown as clickable icons.
