The Drinks module lets you plan beverages for every part of the wedding day — from arrival drinks and dinner wine to the bar and evening reception. It mirrors the structure of the Food module and integrates with billing.
Overview
Add the Drinks module to a wedding record from the Modules section. Once added, it creates a drinks package that organises all beverage planning. Like the Food module, it generates billing items from the agreed drinks selection.
Module structure
The hierarchy is: Drinks Package → Event Parts → Drinks Items. One drinks package exists per module instance. You add event parts for each moment in the day that requires drinks planning, then add individual drink items within each event part.
Event parts
An event part represents a drinks moment in the day — for example, a champagne arrival reception, dinner service, or evening bar. Each event part has a name, a date, and can contain multiple drink items.
Drinks
Each drink item within an event part has:
- Name and optional description
- Drink type — Champagne, Prosecco, Sparkling Wine, White Wine, Red Wine, Rosé, Beer, Lager, Ale, Cider, Gin, Vodka, Rum, Whisky, Cocktail, Mocktail, Soft Drink, Juice, Water, Tea / Coffee, or Other
- Serving style — Per Person, Per Bottle, Per Glass, Per Jug / Pitcher, Per Keg, Package / Flat Rate, Bar Tab, or Other
- Unit price, quantity, and whether the item is agreed/selected
Costs & fees
The drinks package has additional cost fields:
- Overall budget — a reference figure
- Corkage per bottle — flat fee per bottle if the couple supply their own wine
- Service charge — a percentage applied to the total
- Delivery fee and Setup fee — flat amounts
Dietary notes (e.g. non-alcoholic requirements), client notes, and internal notes can also be recorded on the package.
Billing items
Selected/agreed drinks items generate billing items for use on quotes and invoices. Corkage, service charge, delivery, and setup fees also generate separate billing items. Access these via Add from Modules on a quote or invoice.
Portal visibility
When enabled for portal visibility, the couple sees the agreed drinks selection for each event part — drink names, types, and pricing if disclosure is switched on. Internal notes are never shown.
