Weddinguru has two user roles: Admin and Standard. Admins have unrestricted access to everything. Standard users see only what they have been explicitly granted permission to access.
Admin role
Admin users bypass all permission checks. They have full access to every section of Weddinguru — couples, weddings, billing, modules, files, tasks, meetings, calendar, settings, users, and all modules. They can also:
- Add, edit, and deactivate users
- Grant and revoke permissions for standard users
- Reset two-factor authentication for other users
- Access and edit business settings and branding
- Configure email and Stripe integrations
There must always be at least one active admin on the account. The system will prevent you from deactivating or deleting the last admin.
Standard role
Standard users start with no access beyond the core dashboard. Every section they need must be explicitly granted through the Permissions tab on their user record. Without a permission, the section or feature is hidden from their view entirely.
Key differences
| Area | Admin | Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Couples & Weddings | Full access | Always accessible (no permission required) |
| Billing | Full access | Requires billing.access |
| Financial Dashboard | Full access | Requires dashboard.financial |
| Meetings | Full access | Requires meetings.access |
| Calendar | Full access | Requires calendar.access |
| Files | Full access | Requires files.access |
| Tasks | Full access | Requires tasks.access |
| Messages | Full access | Requires messages.access |
| Wedding Modules | Full access | Requires module-specific permission |
| User Management | Full access | No access |
| Business Settings | Full access | No access |
Choosing the right role
Assign the Admin role to senior staff who need to configure the system and manage the team. Use Standard for team members whose access should be limited to specific areas of the workflow. Standard users can have a very broad permission set if needed — it is the most flexible option for day-to-day team management.
